Ladak (28/7 - 11/8 / 2006)
I left Daramsala on a night bus to heading to Manali, meaning to find some people to trek with (for 3 weeks…) to Ladak. I arrived and found the beautiful “Valley view hotel” in Vashisht, where I slept and hanged out with an American girl and a Datch girl whom I met on the way.
On the second evening I met Ofir, and tried to convince him to come with me on that 3 weeks trek, but ended up being convinced to buy a ticket for the bus to Ladak and travel there with him (I have all the excuses- bad weather, high expenses, and basically no patience to continue on searching for the right person to trek with, plus the fact that I immediately recognized that Ofir is a great person to travel with).
The bus was for the next day (I met Ofir at 9pm and got the ticket for the next day at 5:30 am), a 2 days ride with wonderful views, very crowded sits and no proper place during the whole ride where you can pee properly… We spent the nights resting in a camping area, with ready made tents and a good dinner. The camping place is the one you can see on the pictures.
We spent a total of 2 days on our way there, 2 days coming back to Manali, and 10 days in the area of Ladak
